The mountains due north and west of Yellowstone National Park receive and abundance of annual snowfall, making our region a spectacular skiing destination. Three world-class ski areas are available to the winter enthusiast within 60 minutes of the city of Bozeman, each having its own unique character and appeal to skiers.
Bridger Bowl is a more inexpensive, laid-back alternative. This non-profit ski area has plenty of crowd-free terrain available, with some truly radical steeps for those who wish to venture to the ridges above the lifts!
Now encompassing Moonlight Basin, Big Sky offers the largest ski area around (5,700 acres) and one of the largest vertical drops in North America. It is a true resort destination, with many amenities available to guests at the mountain.
