Although the temperatures throughout the year are mild compared to other areas, the temperatures here can fluctuate quite a bit from day to night, so it is best to be prepared. Dress in layers and don’t forget to check the Bozeman weather forecast.

Spring

Spring is generally a late arrival in the Gallatin Valley. April sees temperatures into the 50’s, then in May they rise to the 60’s, and finally in June, the temperature during the day can get into the 70’s.

May and June are the wettest months over a majority of the state.

Always be prepared for that errant snowstorm in May. Though not common, it is possible to be out enjoying the spring weather and end up having a snowball fight.

Summer

Bozeman weather in the summer is pleasant with characteristic warm days, cooler nights and lots of sunshine. Due to its valley location extremely hot weather and humid conditions do not happen very often. Temperatures in the summer rarely exceed 90 degrees during the day.

On average the warmest month of the year is July when daytime temperatures reach the mid 80’s and evening temperatures dip back into the 50’s.

During these months, brief mid-day thunderstorms are a common sight with heavy downpours cooling the late afternoon temperatures

Fall

Winter
