Overview
On a motorcycle you can experience open prairies, stunning mountains, pristine blue lakes and rivers, and the serene stateliness of miles of pine trees.
Combining sport with adventure, the motorcycle journey becomes its own reward. "I don't believe in a risk-free society, where the thrills of living are traded for the safety of existence," writes Nick Ienatsch in Motorcycle Magazine. "A long life is good only if it's chock-full of memories … Motorcycle riders are in touch with the need to live life, this need to experience something potentially dangerous and master it."
Where to go on a motorcycle
“I loved the solitude and expanse of the ride from Missoula to Bozeman, Montana," reported Gary McKechnie, author of the highly regarded Great American Motorcycle Tours.
Anywhere you travel from or to Bozeman on your motorcycle will be filled with great scenery and great weather – at least during the warmer summer months.
A great 8 days ride will take you from Bozeman, to Billings, to Sheridan, WY, to Cody, WY, through Yellowstone National Park, to West Yellowstone, MT and back to Bozeman. On this ride you will travel through hundreds of miles of virtually untouched Native American Territory, experience 52 beautiful miles of the Buffalo Bill Cody Scenic Byway and head into Yellowstone National Park.
Rentals & Fees
Motorcycles can be rented on a daily basis, on weekends and for week long adventure rides for men and women. Monthly and seasonal rentals are available. Motorcycle rental companies provide not only the motorcycle and appropriate gear for riding, but many of them also provide rental camping kits. Kits are comprehensive and include all necessary equipment. Please contact any motorcycle rental company for current pricing and details.
Hire a Guide
Custom guided tours are available for groups or individuals. “Pavement based" tours can include major destinations like Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Banff National Park in Canada.
If hundreds of miles of gravel and dirt roads sounds appealing, you can take an “off pavement” tour.
Tours can be arranged to allow for "roughing it" in a tent or spending the night in a comfy bed. Any tour can be custom designed for your particular needs.
